I broke out my Stamp-a-ma-jig for my first card. I started by stamping one of the red chevrons, then stamped the rest of that row with the black outlines. I was then able to stamp the other rows around that row. It really went pretty quickly using the SAMJ! After all that work, I wanted to keep the rest of my card fairly simple, so I just stamped the sentiment, matted it, and added a little bit of bling.
My next card used a technique I had actually never heard of. :) Actually, I don't even remember what it is called or where I saw the idea! lol Feel free to leave me a comment if you know what this is called! ;)
I started by tearing little pieces of Designer Series Paper and gluing them to a scrap of cardstock. Once it was covered with DSP, I stamped some of the images from Oh, Hello over it and then die cut the dress out. I added a little DSP belt with a flower and rhinestone. I also punched out some little flowers out of my specially made DSP for the corners, adorned with rhinestones as well.

Love the black and red. I might just have to pull out my stamp-a-ma-jig!
ReplyDeletesuper cute cards! love the repeating pattern on the first one
ReplyDeleteThat dress is incredible, Shana! Truly, two fabulous projects, but that dress...wow!
ReplyDeleteI love the red and black, it's a wonderful pattern. The dress is stunning, simply to die for!
ReplyDeleteThese are great cards! I love how you stamped the chevrons on the first one. That is a super cool technique on the second one. I think I have to try it!
ReplyDeleteI love your rows of chevrons on the first card - fabulous! Don't know the name of the technique you used on the second card, but what a cute idea.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the red/white/black combo! SOOO striking!! And EEEEeeekk! That dress card is ADORBS!! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful chevron card, and great job with the SAMJ! I really love how you got creative with the dress and scraps of paper. I have seen that technique on the Mix-Ability challenges, but I don't know if it has a name.
ReplyDeleteLove the red and white card. The neat thing about this creation is you can swap out the primary color and it changes the whole look. Thank God there's a SAMJ!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!! Love the chevron card and the dress card is adorable! I like how creative you where with the scraps too!
ReplyDeleteLove the stamped background! What a fun technique to use for the dress form! Both cards are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteFabulous projects. Love the first the one the most. Great job showing off this set!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous Shana. Love the clean and simple lines of the first with the pop of color. And the dress technique looks fun! Will have to try.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards....my most favorite is the second one...have always loved our dress form and dresses. Great and a bit time consuming but wonderful! Love the bits of bling on both cards...
ReplyDeleteOK, these are both so unique and lovely! Wow! Great work with the SAMJ on the first card. And the second card is so fun! I love that technique you used for the dress, and the background reminds me of a beautiful calico fabric :)
ReplyDeleteOk I am totally impressed the your SAMJ abilities! That card ROCKS! And the torn/glued DSP is a really nifty idea. I like the texture it adds!
ReplyDeleteI love a good SAMJ card; the pops of red are awesome! The dress looks awesome, so whatever the technique is, it makes for a great look!
ReplyDeleteTwo completely different cards - both beautiful. Love the way you used the images in the first card and the pop of red really grabs you. I don't know the name of the technique but I love what you did with it.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just gotta have the SAMJ. Love both cards. Love the colors and the designs of them both. TFS Jess
