Gobble, Gobble

I was really excited when I saw the cue card at CASology this week.
A long time ago I had seen a cute little turkey on Stampin' Connection, our Stampin' Up! demonstrator website, and I really wanted to CASE him.  It was made by Doris Denman. I could not find a blog for her, but if you are a demo you can look her up on Stampin' Connection!  I also used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!  I guess this card is all about CASEing! lol
I turned the sketch sideways for my card.  For this sketch, the OLD me would have kept it the same AND used flowers. The NEW me tried to mix up the sketch a little bit and think outside the box. :)
I made this card for Brett and it is supposed to be funny. Get it?  Miss you turkey. He picked it up and said "Aw, you miss me!"  I had to explain it to him. ;)  The feathers are made with the wide oval punch and the Orchard Harvest DSP.  I punched them all out, inked the edges, then adhered them to a circle punch.  Then I ran the whole thing through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  I did it this way so all of the little fans would be going the same way. I had a feeling it would bug me if they weren't. :)  The strip with the sentiment is scored diagonally at the top and bottom and the sentiment is embossed with Early Espresso Embossing Powder. If you couldn't tell, I used up a lot of the scraps I had lying around from the last card I posted.  Love it when this happens!
