Lazy Fall Day

The sun is shining and it looks so nice and crisp outside.  But I have a cold and do not feel well!  I am in my comfy pj's, only half awake.  I still wanted to participate in the challenges at Nacho Average Challenges and Less is More though, so I forced myself to get up and do some crafting.  Tough life, huh? :)
Nac18color
I thought these were nice fall colors, but I am tired of leaves already so I decided to do some butterflies instead.  I am addicted to the Baby-Wipe Technique, so I drug out my reinkers again for this card.
I started out using all three colors of ink for the butterflies, but it looked too muddy so I started over and inked them with just Calypso Coral and Summer Starfruit.  When they blended together they created a lighter shade of Soft Suede, so it all ended up coordinating beautifully!  The butterflies are also spritzed with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz so they have a little sparkle in the sunlight.  My strip of three colors is actually a separate piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that I clear embossed with the dots and then sponged over.  I sometimes get smudges when I just mask, so I went this route instead this time.  This isn't a color combination that I would have put together but I think it is really beautiful!

Stamp Sets: Distressed Dots, Papillon Potpourri, Trust God

Ink: Calypso Coral, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit
