Blue Ribbon Birthday

I just had to ink up my new Blue Ribbon stamp set and I found the perfect sketch at Just Add Ink to use it with!
I liked this simple sketch so I decided to keep my card very clean and simple as well.
I was a tad bit disappointed to find that the scallop circle punch doesn't fit perfectly with the top of the ribbon, so I had to hand cut the whole thing. Lucky for me I don't mind cutting!  The red layer was punched with the small scallop circle punch, then inserted back in and rotated before punching again, creating the medallion look. I like this trick for masculine cards.  Th sentiment is on Dimensionals and I backed the whole thing with two strips of Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon to bring all of the colors together.

  3. Love those colors together. I'm trying to hold off on buying that stamp set because I'm not sure how much I would use it - but then I see this and I think "I really should get it" lol! Terrific CAS Card.
