Time to get back to work!

Is it really work?  Well, yes, but it is FUN work!  I just love my job!  I had a whole day of Stampin' Up! fun at the Regional event in Lansing on Saturday, and my workshop yesterday, so  I haven't had any time to actually stamp.  I am cutting it close with the challenges at Hand Stamped Sentiments and Freshly Made Sketches this week!
I've been doing a lot of fall and Christmas cards lately, so I decided I wanted to do just an ordinary, all-occasion card.   This "Celebrate" card can be used for lots of things!  The best part of this card is that I received this stamp set, Seasonal Sayings, as part of the Prize Patrol on Saturday!  EVERYONE in attendance got one!  Stampin' Up! is so good to us.  I just love being part of the Stampin' Up! family. Don't forget that if you sign up to become a demonstrator for just $99 before December 16th, you will get a free set of ink pads! That is a $50 value just in itself!  You can sign up easily by going to my Stampin' Up! website at www.shanagaff.stampinup.net and clicking on Join Now.  Or, contact me and I will help walk you through it! Oh, and we also got the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' Kit too!  I can't wait to dig into that puppy and start planning this month's Christmas Stamp-a-Stack!
This card was so easy and super fun!  I used a splatter technique that I learned at Regionals that is much less messy than the way I usually do it!  Put some rubbing alcohol and ink refill (I used More Mustard) in an empty container and swirl it around to mix it.  Pick up the mix with your Aqua Painter and drop it over the top of your cardstock.  So easy!  And no mess!  I wanted a little bit of Eggplant on there too, so I used the Color Spritzer for that.  The hot-air balloons are stamped on DSP and cut out.  Fun and easy!

Make sure you stop back by later today.  I will be posting some of my favorite swaps that I received on Saturday!

Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, Old Olive, Very Vanilla

  1. UMMMM. Speechless. This card is perfection! I love the sets you used, the stamping of the balloon on DSP is so fun, and the banners and splattering send me overboard. SO happy you got this one in with us at HSS.
