Water Stamping

I found a fun, new technique today and decided to give it a try!  It is called water stamping and it is so easy!  You can find the technique here at Splitcoaststampers.  Basically you just sponge ink all over your cardstock, make a water ink pad by wetting a stack of paper towels, and stamp away!  I wanted to use a layout that showcased a lot of the technique, so I chose this one from Freshly Made Sketches:

I thought the color combination from ColourQ would look great with this technique.
These are great fall colors!  I loved the touch of Tempting Turquoise to brighten it up a bit.  The colors just look so crisp to me.  And don't you just love that hat?!  Reminds me of the hats that Steph and I have. :)
I used the water technique with the En Francais background stamp.  It looks so cool!  In person it almost looks like it is embossed.  It is kind of puffy!  I used the Simply Scored to do diagonal lines on the Tempting Turquoise cardstock, just to add a little texture there.  You can't tell from the pic but I added Dazzling Details to the Old Olive leaves so they are sparkly.

Stamp Sets: En Francais background, Gently Falling, Seasonal Sayings
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla
Ink: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise
Tools: 1" Circle Punch, Simply Scored, sponges
Accessories: Dazzling Details, Old Olive Dotted Scallop Ribbon
