The Countdown is On!

It's hard to believe it, but we are almost at the end of the school year!  Less than 30 days until summer break. It's been awhile since I have counted down with the kids, but now that I am back to teaching it seems almost second nature again. :)  I have applied for the full-time position for next year, and should be hearing soon when my interview will be. I don't know what God's plan is for me yet, but I will go with it either way!

Since it is nearing the end of the year and Brett and I are both working at the school, I am sure we will have some graduation parties to attend. Our newest challenge at ATCAS uses our school colors, so I thought it was the perfect time to whip up some quick and easy Congratulations cards!
Work of Art is my FAVORITE go-to stamp set for a quick background.  This swoosh looks gorgeous stamped in the Gold Encore Ink. I am so sad that it is retiring from the catalog! I hope they give us a new gold ink, because I love the luxurious feel it has.  I just recently purchased the refill for my Black Memento ink pad, and MAN did it ever make a difference!  The words really pop over the top of the gold. Before I reinked it, it was almost a grey. I need to remember to do this to all of my ink pads for more vibrant colors!

Thanks for stamping by today.  Make sure to check out the rest of the cards our talented design team have created for your viewing pleasure!

The Stamp Review Crew: Zoo Babies Edition

Wow, this month is going so fast now that I am back to working full time!  It's time for another round of The Stamp Review Crew, and this month we are all making projects with the animal stamp set Zoo Babies. I could not resist making another card with some of the soon-to-be-retired In Colors.  They just scream baby card to me!
I made my own background DSP by stamping the animals randomly all of the cardstock.  I went out of my comfort zone and used Very Vanilla instead of Whisper White. Very unlike me! :)  I didn't use the elephant and toucan in the background so they would stick out better in the front. I stamped and cut out an extra ear and and popped it up with a Dimensional. The toucan is also on a Dimensional to separate him more from the background.

April Showers...

It's time for a new challenge at ATCAS and I am the hostess!  I chose the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of April:
Not my favorite thing, by far, but a fun stamping code word. :) We are joined this month by the lovely Pia. Make sure to stop by and give her some love on her beautiful card!

I combined THREE stamp sets to make my card this week. That is very unusual for me, especially for a CAS card!  This card NEEDED three stamps though! lol
For the rainbow, I colored one of the swooshes from Work of Art with markers two different times, first with red, orange and yellow, then with green, blue and purple.  I was able to bend my photopolymer sentiment to match the curve of the rainbow. That is one of my favorite things to do with the photopolymer stamps!

Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure to check out the rest of the awesome shower cards the design team has created this week at ATCAS

The Stamp Review Crew: Painted Petals Edition

It's the first Monday of the month, and you know what that means?  Holllaaa!!! It's time for another round of The Stamp Review Crew!  This week we bring you a lovely stamp set from the Ocassions Catlaog, Painted Petals.  At first glance, this set looks like it would strictly be a feminine set. But no! There is a great strip of polka dots that can be used to create a wonderful background for any type of card. I have this set in the photopolymer, which made it extremely easy to line up each row perfectly. Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana will be leaving us in a few short months, so I paid tribute to them here:
I didn't want Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe to feel left out, so I included them in my next "girly" card. :) I used the stamp set to create my background DSP. So fun and easy with this set!

Thanks for stopping by today!  You can click on the links below to continue on through the hop.  I know everyone will have fantastic projects for you to enjoy!
