The Stamp Review Crew: Painted Petals Edition

It's the first Monday of the month, and you know what that means?  Holllaaa!!! It's time for another round of The Stamp Review Crew!  This week we bring you a lovely stamp set from the Ocassions Catlaog, Painted Petals.  At first glance, this set looks like it would strictly be a feminine set. But no! There is a great strip of polka dots that can be used to create a wonderful background for any type of card. I have this set in the photopolymer, which made it extremely easy to line up each row perfectly. Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana will be leaving us in a few short months, so I paid tribute to them here:
I didn't want Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe to feel left out, so I included them in my next "girly" card. :) I used the stamp set to create my background DSP. So fun and easy with this set!

Thanks for stopping by today!  You can click on the links below to continue on through the hop.  I know everyone will have fantastic projects for you to enjoy!

  1. Great cards, Shana! I especially love the first one -- great colors and really out of the box thinking for this set!

  2. Shana, wat a great idea to choose the retiring In Colors for your projects. Love the way you made one girly and then featured one with the dots. Awesome stamping!

  3. Love that dotted background! Wonderful how you created your own pretty!

  4. Sweet girly card! And fantastic masculine card, love those dots :)

  5. Thanks for the awesome tribute to the soon to be gone in colours. I love every shade and both your gorgeous cards.

  6. Great cards Shana! I love the two different feels to your cards. I too will be very sad when these colours retire! Fingers crossed they say on. Love the repetition of the dots to create the masculine card and the second card is so pretty.

  7. Great cards! I loved you didn't want strawberry slush, pistachio pudding and crisp cantaloupe to feel left out. I loved your cards!

  8. Love the out-of-the-box polka dot card, and your background paper is so lovely!

  9. Wow! Two spectacular cards! I love the backgrounds you created for both of these masterpieces…so fun!

  10. A perfect set to show the versatility of this set! Everyone will want it now more than ever!!

  11. Shana, I love how you demonstrated that this set can be used for both masculine and feminine cards. Well done!

  12. Great use of the polka dots! And I love the "girly" card, too.

  13. So many things to love about your cards, Shana. Great use of the soon to be retiring In Colors! And I forgot all about the Top Note die and how fun it is - your beautiful card really shows it off.

  14. Those dots -- wow! Not only do I love the color combo, the idea to use that stamp as a background is just genius!
