They would also be great for a baby boy card. Hmmm...might just have to make one of those tomorrow! Random inspiration...lol. This card is completely different from the idea I originally had in my head. I started off with glossy cardstock, sponged ornaments and paper piercing. None of that made it onto my card! It just didn't look as good as I had pictured it. :) Maybe next time.
It's pretty much impossible to tell from the picture, but I sponged on Illuminate Watermark ink to the embossed snowflakes in the background. This ink pad is a must on all of my holiday cards! I just love the bit of glimmer it adds. It really softens the look of the card too, I think. I am officially in love with the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and coordinating framelits. Sets like this make cardmaking so much easier. And did you notice that my ornaments hang off of the card a little bit? Dorky, I know, but I just love that little bit of variation!
Stamp Sets: Ornament Keepsakes, Petite Pairs
Cardstock: Pool Party, Soft Suede, Shimmer White
Ink: Pool Party, Soft Suede
Tools: Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Snow Flurry Bigz Die, sponges
Accessories: Neutrals Glimmer Brad, Dimensionals, Illuminate Watermark Ink Pad
These colours certainly made a beautiful Christmas card! I have just ordered the Holiday Ornament bundle - can't wait!! xx
