Sweets for the Sweet!

Oooh, the challenge at CASology is a fun one this week!
We have tons of Halloween candy around here so I am definitely feeling the sugar high!  I never buy candy and rarely even have any, so I am BAD whenever there is a holiday when the kids bring home tons of it.  I knew right away when I saw this theme I wanted to do a candy card!  It fit in perfect with the sketch from Create with Connie and Mary because I knew I wanted to have three lollipops on my card.
I am not positive, but I am pretty sure this is the first time I have used Sweets for the Sweet.  The stamps look pretty clean!  I may have used the pinwheels, but definitely not the lollipops.  It is funny how some stamps out of a set get used over and over again, while others remain untouched!  I need to set a goal to start using stamps that I have never used before out of sets.  Then maybe I wouldn't feel so bad when the sets retire and I have to sell them!
I decided to do two cards at once for this one since it was so simple.  I need to do this more often.  I already have the mess out, so why not?  The card bases are 5 1/2" square.
After I embossed the Chevrons I took my Illuminate Watermark Ink Pad and swiped it across the cardstock for some glimmer.  I love this effect!  The candy pieces are covered with Dazzling Diamonds that I adhered with Crystal Effects.  They look yummy enough to eat!
