Ready for Spring!

I know Indiana is not the best place to live if you don't enjoy the snow, but up until last winter, I do not remember being so miserable this time of the year. We have had so many school delays and closings, and days and days below zero.  I am ready to move south NOW!  I laughed when I saw the code word that our lovely Kylie chose for us this week at ATCAS, because it describes exactly how I have been feeling lately!

I started by stamping my back panel with the Hardwood background and Gorgeous Grunge. My favorite tool to use for distressing is the little hand held distressing tool. It makes the edges look really rugged. I then sponged some soft suede ink on them to make the edges really stand out.

To balance out the distressing I decided to add a little bit of a feminine touch with the pastel feathers. I love how they look over the wood grain background! My sentiment is stamped on vellum and then I inked the edges to make them look soft.

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure to visit all the other lovely ladies on the ATCAS design team!

  1. Love the pastel feathers that contrast so well with the distressed background!

  2. Love the pop of color against the kraft! Super fun card

  3. The those blue n pink feathers over wood grain distressed BG :)

  4. Your feathers are so pretty and I love how the colors pop against the woodgrain background! Stunning card, Shana!

  5. I love the distressed edges and the wood background.

  6. Your distressed wooden background is so cool, Shana. LOVE the ripped edges and the stamped design. Gorgeous Grunge is one of my favourite SU! stamps! And love the contrast with the bright colours of the feathers. xx

  7. Stop feeling distressed, lovey. Hopefully Spring will arrive soon enough. I'm sitting here wishing winter would hurry up. Already into Autumn and the temp was 38 degress celcius today. Blah. Right, onto your card - LOVE the woodgrain background paired with the Gorgeous Grunge. Your feathers are so pretty and pop right off the page! xx

  8. The pastel feathers are perfect on your distressed woodgrain background. They really pop off the page. A perfect reminder that spring is HERE!!! I hope you are feeling better
