My Slow Return

Hi, friends! Well, it's been well over three months since I've posted. On November 28th, we lost our home, our truck, and all of our belongings in the Gatlinburg fires. We have been very blessed with help from family and friends, and are getting back on our feet and rebuilding soon. If you would like to see our whole story about that, you can visit my personal blog Adventures on Silverbell Lane.

Several of my friends, as well as Stampin' Up!, sent me some stamping goodies. I am so grateful for that! It's hard to go from having everything right at your fingertips to having nothing, so I was beyond excited to have some toys to play with! 💕 I figured the best thing to do to help me get back into the swing of things was to find some fun challenges to play along with! I did a CAS card for the Addicted to Stamps challenge, along with the color challenge at Color Throwdown and the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

I have been in need of MANY thank you cards, so the sentiment was easy. It comes from the SAB set Any Occasion. The cute little truck is also a SAB stamp set, Tasty Trucks. I used the new watercolor pencils from the Occasions catalog and a blender pen to color it. They are fantastic!

This is one of Stampin' Up!'s notecards. I had never used them before, believe it or not, but I am addicted! What an easy way to make a fast little card.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to be posting more often now that things have settled down a bit here. 😊
