Red Blossom

It's time for Challenge #2 over at Color Me Beautiful!  Here is the color palette the design team was given to work with this week:
I think these are just wonderful fall colors.  I did end up replacing the Always Artichoke for Soft Suede because it looked more brown on my monitor!  This worked out perfect with the theme over at The Paper Players:

One of my favorite fall sets of all time is French Foliage, so I started with that and stamped the leaves in a variety of the colors.  The splatter image is SOOO versatile and gets a lot of use at my house on other cards (see my post from Tuesday for another example!), but it was also perfect for this card.
I don't use the XL tag punch nearly enough and it fit my sentiment wonderfully.  I offset it with another tag to give it the look of a mat.  My leaves at the top are handcut and folded for dimenstion.  I love fussy cutting. I think it adds so much to a card!  Most of my customers want a punch for everything though, so I try to avoid it at workshops and stamp camps!  Since this was my own personal project, I was happy to get to do it. :)
Stamp Sets: Blessings from Heaven, French Foliage

  1. Very pretty...I don't use my tag punch much either, but now that I know that sentiment fits so nicely, I might have to try this too! Thanks for playing at the Paper Players this week!

  2. What a great fall card - love these colours and will definitely try to play along with these this week! Love the sentiment you've chosen too... Thanks for playing along with the Paper Players this week!

  3. Beautiful! I love the collage of fall leaves and the fussy cut ones are perfect for embellishing this wonderful fall card!

  4. Fabulous Fall card! It makes me so happy that I ordered that stamp set:)
