Fallen Hues

It's time for another challenge at Color Me Beautiful! The challenge this week was a little tricky for me.

I think they would make pretty fall leaves, but as you have seen, I have been doing a ton of leaf cards lately! I decided to use a floral stamp set that I haven't used in a while, Build a Blossom.
For some reason this stamp set is really challenging for me. I decided to make the flowers look like they were framing the sentiment.  The Perfect Plum flowers have Champagne Glass Glitter adhered to the center with Crystal Effects.  That stuff is like cement!  I stamped the sentiment and then embossed it with the oval from the Designer Frames Embossing Folders.  I cut it out by hand.  I wish there was an oval punch that punched the outside!  The XL Oval Punch does fit on the inside though, so that is handy.  I cut a Scallop Oval in half to put behind the sentiment to kind of draw the eye to the center.  Not my favorite card I've ever made, but this combo was tough! lol

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit
