Even though I have been cold, it has not stopped me from stamping! I needed to do some cheery stamping today so I used this sketch from Nacho Average Challenges:
I thought this looked like a fun sketch! My card doesn't look like something that I usually do, but it is cheery at least. :)
I had some scraps of Summer Smooches DSP left over from my last Scrap Club and they worked perfectly for my happy card! Couldn't resist embossing the card base for some texture. It just looked so plain without it! I don't usually wrap a ribbon all the way around a card like this, but it's really easy to do with the skinny ribbon. I need to get some more colors of that stuff...after I buy my new furnace. ;)
Stamp Set: For the Birds
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Ink: Black StazOn, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango
Tools: Window Frames Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Accessories: Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Summer Smooches DSP, Dimensionals
Love this. I just got this stamp set and can't wait to use it. We used the same framelets but ended up with two very different results. :) TFS
ReplyDeleteLovely card - hope you get warm soon - Jacqueline xx
ReplyDeleteNo heat, no problem. A true stamper! Thanks for playing with the Nachos this week.
ReplyDeleteHope your furnace is working soon!! But, at least you have stamping to keep your mind off the cold! LOL!! Love, love, love your card--so bright and happy! Thanks for joining the Nachos this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright and beautiful card! I love how you stacked your birdies, too! what a wonderfully creative card, and thank you for playing along with us @ NAC. I know we would love to see what you create for our next challenge! Hope to see more of your work.
ReplyDeleteI do hope that the furnace is now working properly. Having a broken furnace in the cold nights of winter is bad news for anyone. And it is a good thing that you managed to hold out for 3 days without a furnace. I’d be willing to bet some people would fall sick on the first day. Anyway, the card looks great! It is amazing that you can still make a card like that. I bet you can make a better one once that furnace started working and warmed you up.
