For once I actually spent the morning actually working on my business instead of playing. :) I did want to participate in a few challenges though, so I picked an easy one at Less is More and combined it with the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary's!
The challenge at Less is More is to do a one layer card with houses. Well, I don't have any houses, but I do have bird cages. Those are houses for birds, right? They are today anyway! lol :)
I sponged Midnight Muse ink into a frame I made with the Labels Collection Framelits. I then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get my bird cages...er, houses...exactly where I wanted them, as well as for adding the birds and sentiment. So simple! I did think it need a little ribbon at the top, just to hang the one birdhouse from. :) I haven't played with this set in a while and it is really fun!
Stamp Set: Aviary, Tiny Tags
Cardstock: Very Vanilla
Ink: Cajun Craze, Midnight Muse, More Mustard
Tools: Labels Collection Framelits, sponge, Stamp-a-ma-jig
Accessories: Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon
Super cute card!!! Love the "houses" for the birds! I think it works perfectly! Love the one layer, too! Very clever to sponge the label! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
ReplyDeleteWOW...this is just FABULOUS!!! I love how you sponged in the framelit to create another 'layer' on your card without adding extra cardstock. Just sooooo cute! Thanks so much for playing along in the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThey are bird houses alright and cute ones at that!
