CAS(E)ing Away!

I just cannot bring myself to miss a challenge at CASology since they are supposed to be simple cards, which is what I love!  I had several choices of stamps for the challenge this week.

I ended up going a completely different direction than I started with. My original plan was to use the jar from Perfectly Preserved, but then it ended up WAY not CAS, so I started over.  I was looking through my swaps from Regionals and found a layout that I really liked which was totally CAS.  This cute little card was made by Gladys Rienks.
Isn't that cute?!  I loved the scoring so I decided to CASE it!  Here is my version:
I stuck with just a card base instead of the layer, since I was going for true CAS.  The DSP is from Orchard Harvest DSP.  The one side of each paper in that pack is so versatile!  I used my Stampin' Write markers to color directly on the stamp. It is hard to tell in the picture, but the frame is around the sentiment is Early Espresso.  I backed it with a square of Elegant Eggplant DSP.  I like to do this because the larger-sized framelit just seems too big so when I use a square I can make it a little smaller.  You can also use circle punches on the sides if you want a complete border!

Stamp Set: Friendship Preserves
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso, Elegant Eggplant, Lucky Limeade
Tools: Window Frames Framelits, Simply Scored
Accessories: Orchard Harvest DSP, Dimensionals
